It's pretty amazing how quickly an octopus can disappear into sand. I often take an image, look down at my camera to review, and look back up and, to my surprise, the octopus has already vanished.
In this image, using a snoot during a night dive, I was able to easily isolate the octopus from the sand, despite them having very similar colors.
