Gluttony

This is the first shot in what will hopefully be a slightly different take on the Seven Deadly Sins. A good friend and I had been planning this shoot for months, and the details changed over time, but I'm really happy with the final result. I suppose there's a commentary on modern society in there, but the message was less important to us than the visual side of things. We knew we wanted to emulate the 'chiarroscurro' style lighting, made famous by artists such as Caravaggio, and that we wanted a cornucopia of modern food (which ended up just being a table filled with McDonalds!)

Back to Bacchus!

Haha, indeed!

This is pretty darn amazing!

Thank you so much Audra!

This is so well done and gross at the same time!

Haha, thank you very much Robert!

Love the concept and execution! This made me stop and look closer. The more i looked, the more I liked it! Well shot!

Cheers Justin, appreciate the kind words!

Yerk! I know a great photo when I wish I could do it too.
(very) minor thing is I find the shape on the wall just above his hand mildly distracting.

I actually agree with you Rod, I need to be more aware of that stuff. Thank you for pointing it out!

Very Caravaggio-like. Nice.

Thanks Marcin!

Disgustingly beautiful, Jack!

Haha, thanks very much Chris! Haven't eaten McD's since :P

Awesome but you should have found a fatter model.

Thanks John! We considered it, but felt that it might be a bit heavy handed, or potentially offensive. Gluttony runs far deeper than just overeating.

Me on Friday evening

Great stuff!
