2019 has been an incredible year full of new experiences, many of which forced me to step outside of my comfort zone. The most memorable experience of this year was my backpacking trip down in Chile and Argentina to see the unearthly landscapes of the Patagonian mountains. Not only did these mountains give my friend Bryce Mironuck and I an amazing shooting experience, but the challenges that were laid before us helped develop our own personal growth. Patagonia tested our mental strength to our limits and in some cases beyond, but we both made it through and now share some of the craziest memories we have to this day. The most memorable moment from 2019 belongs in Patagonia where bryce and I got our first successful sunrise under the alluring Cuernos Spires.
That morning, the winds peaked above 100km/h and created some very large winds. In fact, countless times during our photoshoot the wind picked up the water and created these airborne water spouts, which you can see in this image. Bryce and I struggled that morning as the weather back in camp was socked in and raining. But with the little hope we had, we knew anything could happen in Patagonia. As soon as we arrived, the mountains revealed themselves and the atmosphere surrounding the peaks was simply incredible. Our shutters were firing off at about 8:30am, and didn't stop until well after 9:30. The colours simply didn't go away! What an incredible display of God's creation.
Thank you for journeying with me through this year, and I can assure you that 2020 will not disappoint! Cheers 🍻
