Sanctuary

I was driving on Vancouver Island one winter morning. There was a beautiful mist in the air, and for once the timing was perfect. Just as the sun began to light up the mist, I found myself surrounded by serene farmland. I pulled over and began to look for compositions. Soon, this adorable farmhouse was unveiled across the lake. This was my favorite image from that morning. I imagine it must be wonderful to live in such a place.

I later tried to find this location on the map, but I couldn't find a lake anywhere in the area. I eventually realized that this was no lake, but a flooded meadow. So, this image is actually a result of unique conditions that probably don't happen very often!
