Northern Norway, August of last year. My first attempt at a mountain selfie. I have to say, this was an incredibly good hike. No trail, no people, just a good scramble to a location I had in mind. This is what I'm most looking forward to once the quarantine ends. Seeking out interesting locations where no one has been. Of course, I'm sure someone has been here, but there's no trail and I have never seen an image from here.
The image itself -- it's a pano of about 6 photos. The river is certainly much smaller than I had envisioned! And, I definitely underexposed and had to recover a lot of lost shadow detail. And, well, I could go on for a while. But, as the saying goes, making mistakes is the best way to learn!
Is the super HDR-ish look hip again? Or the Orton effect? I constantly see it in Editor's Choice. I'm just asking, no offense.
