Deal with the Devil

Folktales are an irreplaceable part of the Icelandic character, never to be forgotten. These cliffs were supposed to witness the encounter between a poet and the Devil, where they had to write a poem taking turns to pronounce their own verses. Whoever couldn’t continue the rhyme, would be the loser and should throw off the cliff into the sea.
