Gondolin

A mountain, river, snowy trees, and dappled light. What more can you ask for?

This morning was a test of patience. We arrived 40 minutes before sunrise, scoped out our compositions, and waited for the light to hit the peak. Although this mountain was beamed with a beautiful red glow, the skies were completely empty, and the landscape didn’t feel dramatic enough for our taste. With past experience, we all knew anything could happen in the mountains. So, we waited patiently, hoping that clouds would roll in and spice up the landscape. As the morning progressed, so did the clouds. We were blessed with beautifully lit clouds and dappled light on the mountain.
