My last morning in Yellowstone was cold for late August. I was up early to fit in a couple more sights and a hike before driving five hours to my next AirBnb. I had been traveling solo for over a month by then, and started photographing the people around me from a distance. This was captured at the boardwalk leading to the Grand Prismatic Spring, when the geothermal heat and the cold air obscured all the expected grandeur, and created a new beauty all its own.
