Henrietta

Henrietta is a midnight magic Maran hen. I was at a friend's house taking pictures of their cats with a rim light setup. We decided it would be fun to try the technique on a chicken. Henrietta was selected because her dark coloration, which we felt would work well with this low-key style of shot. Henrietta was an amazing model as she patiently stood in place allowing me to take several photos. Chickens can have very quick head movements which can be hard to capture in focus, but Henrietta is a pro!
