I was hired to shoot the Christmas tree and holiday lighting at Jerry Moss Plaza near Walt Disney Concert Hall and City Hall. This was a video assignment that required a darker sky, but I thought it would be great to shoot some photos from the ground before taking flight. And being how stressful of a flight it was, this is just what I needed to keep my mind at ease and stop thinking about the task. There are just so many moving parts to shooting at night, in a populated area, let alone downtown Los Angeles during the holidays. One of the greatest challenges was managing the shoot while massive crowds exited from the Music Center and Walt Disney Concert Hall.
This was one of my favorites from that night. I love the leading lines and as someone who believes in the rule of thirds, I enjoy breaking the rules from time to time.
