Winter White / A Touch Of Spruce

I made several images during this winter while crossing the Sierra Nevada either on Monitor or Sonora Pass before there winter closes.

I especially love the distant background at the top of the frame - that distant forested ridgeline. That adds so much depth and the image is completely different than it would be without that.

Tom thanks for your comment and vote, I totally agree about the distant ridge.

How did your whitetail expedition go? Looking forward to images.

Paul,

It was a very good year for the Whitetail rut. Not great, not spectacular, but very good. I may eventually post a few of the resultant photos here, but I am usually hesitant to do so, because publishers often will not license an image for publication if it has already been posted online anywhere at all. But I may put a couple here anyway, eventually.
