They say "only about 30% of people who visit Denali National Park in Alaska, are able to see the mountain"! I thought I was going to join the 30% Club myself as we had clouds and rain for three days straight when we were in visual range, but on the day we were scheduled to leave for Fairbanks, the skies cleared of clouds, and I ventured into the Park. The low lying fog still obscured The Great One, (the literal translation of the indigenous word "Denali"), as I road the shuttle bus inward to the turn around point. But as luck would have it, the fog was clearing, HOORAH! I was able to capture this image handheld through an open window while riding the shuttle back to the park entrance, I'm glad the driver noticed me and slowed down for me to get the shot!

Frank, I’ve never been, have many friends who have a heard may a story of shuttle bus drivers been much more accommodating than just slowing down. I would think with the slim odds of seeing Denali this would have warranted a full stop and open doors for visitors! It’s not like they were going to disrupt traffic or anything.
That would have been pretty cool, we had just had a stop at the turn around point for restroom break and pick-up of anyone wanting to return from that spot. The driver had pointed out some Dall Sheep up a nearby mountain from the turn around stop.
I hadn't noticed that he had slowed down until after I had got the shot and looked up front where he had been watching me, he asked if I got it and I told him I had. Perhaps if I had said no we'd have stopped too!
