Soft Light Under Control

This portrait of Mr. Fetish Finland 2025 was made to look past the public image and bring out the person behind it. A 2-foot gridded octabox placed close to the subject created soft, directional light with gradual falloff, opening the shadows and keeping the mood calm. The hand partially obscures the face, adding a hint of intrigue that contrasts with the open, soft lighting. A very low-powered focused spot added a hint of texture to the face without compromising the overall softness. Mostly soft light, playing with a touch of carefully placed hardness.
