3 Ways to Fix Uninspiring Portraits

Have you ever set up your lights, gone through the poses, gotten back to your computer, and realized you have taken some perfectly competent but uninspiring photos? If that is a situation you have recently found yourself in, check out this fantastic video tutorial that features an experienced portrait photographer sharing three different ways to reinvigorate your images.

Coming to you from Gavin Hoey with Adorama TV, this excellent video tutorial discusses three different ways to reinvigorate your portraits through lighting, set design, and props. It is always a good idea to check in if you are falling into the same habits over and over in your images. It is common to work to become competent in things like lighting and posing and once you get there, to stick with what works. After all, it is hard work to get to that place and understandable to want to stick with what is comfortable. However, the best creatives never stop experimenting and growing, and it will make you more satisfied if you keep pushing yourself to explore. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Hoey.

Dear Mr Cooke,
you did it again. Title and the whole text you wrote is clickbait.
How about listing the 3 ways to fix portraits? How about giving a summery of the _content_ of the video instead of writing an elaborate version of "This is really great! You have to click the video!"?

Your text for "A Long-term Review of the Canon EOS R7 Mirrorless Camera" was much better. You put the conclusion of the video in your text and if people are curious about how Brent Hall came to that conclusion, they'll watch the video.

I hope you see this as constructive critique and not as a rant.
