The one bit of advice I would give you is to simply check the leaves carefully before you bring them inside. Once they have been on the ground for more than a day or so, it is not unusual for insects or other little critters to make a home in them, and you do not want an unintended infestation or nasty surprise for your subject! Also, get more leaves than you think you need, as you will probably destroy them after using them a few times, and, of course, once winter comes, you're out of luck until next year.
