Check yourself Lytro, Google's new Lens Blur mode is coming through! Today the Google Research blog introduced a new mode in the Google Camera app that allows Android phone and tablet users to take photos and change the focus after the photo is taken. By changing the depth-of-field slider, you can simulate different aperture sizes, to achieve bokeh effects ranging from subtle to surreal. According to the blog post the new image is rendered instantly, allowing you to see your changes in real time. Anja Niedringhaus, Pulitzer Prize winning photojournalist, was killed and her colleague Kathy Gannon wounded on April 4th when an Afghan police officer opened fire on their car.The journalists were traveling with election workers in eastern Khost province in a convoy that was protected by Afghan soldiers and police officers, according to the AP. "What the world knows about Iraq, they largely know because of her pictures and the pictures by the photographers she raised and beat into shape," said AP photographer David Guttenfelder.

First Kiss - a short video directed by Tatia Pilieva and uploaded to Youtube has gone viral overnight. In just one day the black and white video spotlighting the first moments of physical intimacy between two people, has received over 11 million views and is still going strong. Tatia Pilieva got 20 strangers together, paired them up, and asked them to kiss for the first time in front of her camera. When the strangers have finished embracing, we all just want to stand up and slow clap. But wait... one thing the video doesn't publicize is that it's an advertisement for a clothing line.

Judgement Makes Commercial Drones Completely Legal Again

Known as Trappy on message boards and Facebooks groups, and the "aeriel anarchist" among drone hobbyist, Raphael Pirker the 29-year-old swede will be making headlines today after a federal judge has dismissed the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) case against Pirker. In 2011 the FAA smacked Pirker with a $10,000 fine after he flew his Styrofoam drone around the University of Virginia while filming an ad for the university's medical school. This became a test case for the FAA's authority to prohibit people from flying a drone for commercial purposes.
