A Look at the New DJI Air 2S Drone

The DJI Air 2S is here, and it brings with it some major improvements and upgrades over the Mavic Air 2 while still maintaining an ultra-portable profile. This excellent video review takes a look at how it compares to the Mavic Air 2 and the type of performance and image quality you can expect from it in practice.

Coming to you from Billy Kyle, this great video review takes a look at the new DJI Air 2S and how it compares to the Mavic Air 2. Though the new model comes with an array of impressive new features and upgrades, by far, the most exciting one for me is the new 1-inch, 20-megapixel sensor. Earlier models like the Mavic Air 2 used smaller sensors at 12 megapixels, which is why I have held on to my Phantom 4 Pro for several years to keep the benefits of the larger sensor and higher resolution, the quality differences (particularly dynamic range) of which are especially noticeable. To have the larger sensor with better resolution and dynamic range in the highly portable form factor first popularized by the Mavic series brings the best of both worlds together and means I no longer have to carry a large dedicated backpack just for my drone; I can simply drop it in my bag with the rest of my cameras and lenses. Check out the video above for Kyle's full thoughts on the lens.
