A Review of the Viltrox AF 75mm f/1.2 Lens

Third-party manufacturers have put a lot of pressure on first-party companies in the last few years by continually offering both innovative and unusual lenses and more standard options that perform just as well as more expensive glass at far more affordable prices. One such company doing that is Viltrox, with the AF 75mm f/1.2 for Sony APS-C E mount cameras being the latest example. This great video review takes a look at the sort of performance and image quality you can expect from this lens.

Coming to you from Christopher Frost, this awesome video review takes a look at the Viltrox AF 75mm f/1.2 XF lens for Sony E mount APS-C cameras. With an equivalent focal length of 112.5mm, this lens is right in the sweet spot of portrait focal lengths, making it an intriguing option when paired with that super-wide maximum aperture and affordable price ($549). As you will see, it mostly punches above its weight, offering impressively good sharpness and lack of aberrations, mainly wide open, that creamy bokeh you are probably hoping for, and very good construction. Some might be put off by the somewhat slower autofocus, but for portraiture work, that should not be a problem. Check out the video above for Frost's full thoughts on the lens.
