Given the importance of the day, how busy you are, and how much equipment you often need, one thing I have found really helpful is to keep a printed checklist of things to do and equipment to bring. I am the type of person who manages to always forget something no matter how many times I go through my bad, and a wedding is probably the last place in the world I want to reach for some important piece of equipment, only to realize it is not there and I have no way of getting it.
