Of them, the one I most commonly see a lot of photographers make is not negotiating proper usage fees for their images (or even not charging them at all). The prospect of usage fees can seem foreign or completely strange if you are newer to the commercial world, but they are very standard, and it is important to get what you deserve, particularly if your client will be using your images for large-scale applications and getting a lot of mileage out of them.
