2020 and 2021 were anything but normal, and they hit photographers and creatives especially hard. This interesting video features a professional photographer and YouTuber sharing how much money he earned in 2021 down to the cent and breaking down where it all came from. 

Coming to you from Eric Floberg, this great video gives some insight into his income in 2021. I think it is really helpful to see such a detailed breakdown, and it really highlights the importance of diversifying your income stream. Certainly, if you think back to 2019, none of us expected a world-changing event of the scale of the pandemic, and it has been terrible to see the effect it has had on a lot of photographers' businesses, particularly since these hardships are clearly no fault of their own. While there is no hard and fast way to guarantee income, diversifying your income streams does provide a level of protection against the ebbs and flows of the constituent inflows and can soften the blow if one dries up for one reason or another.
