Interested in Working With Brands? Here's What You Need to Know

Who doesn't like the idea of working with brands? You get free stuff, prestige, increased exposure and views, and free stuff! Of course, it's not as easy as just calling up your favorite company and having them send you the gear you want and or make you an affiliate. This great video talks about what it takes to work with brands, the different kinds of relationships, and how to increase your chances.

Coming to you from Darious Britt, this is a good video to watch if you're trying to build an online presence and are interested in collaborations with brands. I think the biggest takeaway is to always remember that these collaborations are investments for the brands involved, and no company makes an investment without expecting a return on it. There's a tendency to sometimes put the cart ahead of the horse in this situation, but keep in mind that if a company is going to take a risk on you, you need to show them you're worth it, which means having a portfolio of good output and an established audience before they approach you (or vice versa).
