Three Helpful Tips for Running a Successful Photography Business

There is a very distinct and fundamental difference between being a successful photographer and being successful in the business of photography. This helpful video will give you three tips to ensure you're successful when you start a photography business.

Coming to you from The Bite Shot, this great video discusses some helpful tips you can follow to make yourself more likely to be successful in your photography business. Of the tips, I think the most salient for me was to give careful thought to your pricing scheme. Many newer photographers I have spoken with are often unsure of how to price their work, and they often make the mistake of underpricing themselves — vastly so — often to the point that after one considers the work of preparation and post-processing, they're making less than minimum wage. It's crucial to consider all the time that goes into you work, to consider what you need to make to be viable, and to carefully find what reasonable prices are in your area. Check out the video above for more.
