Win Your Choice of a Nikon D610, Canon 6D or Sony A7!

Win Your Choice of a Nikon D610, Canon 6D or Sony A7!

We are very excited to announce yet another great Facebook giveaway and this time we are partnering up with our friends at Photography Life to do it. The winner will have a chance to choose between three different cameras: Nikon D610, Canon 6D or the new Sony A7 full-frame mirrorless camera! We are approaching the end of the year, so we decided to give this one away on the Christmas Day. So you have exactly one month to participate in this awesome contest! The contest is open for everyone, not just US residents.

Photography Life Fstoppers Giveaway

To participate in this contest, click this link or the above image, like our Facebook pages, type your email address and click "Enter". This giveaway allows friend referrals, so for each friend that participates in the giveaway, you gain one bonus entry! And by the way, the number of referrals is unlimited!

Some restrictions apply to non-US participants:
Some countries have tax and other regulations for camera equipment, while others are extremely expensive to ship to. While we will do our best to ship the package internationally, if the cost of sending the package is extremely high or if there are other complications, we will have to give a choice to the winner - either to pay for all the extra expenses, or accept a gift card equivalent to the prize from our trusted partner B&H Photo Video.

Note that those of our readers that do not have a Facebook account are also eligible to participate. Just visit the PL giveaway page and leave a comment there with your contact info (name and email address) and we will include you for the giveaway. Please do not post here, since we are tracking those manually.

Once again, we will announce a random winner on December 25, 2013 to make it a great Christmas present from Fstoppers and Photography Life! Good luck and Happy upcoming holidays!

Seems like a legit cause, go for it!

Upfront; thanks for giving something away. Someone's definitely going to be happy.

Unfortunately, that someone will be a person with the farthest reach, least apprehension of being in "everyone's face" about his/her participation and constant promotion for others to enter "under" them, since there's another vote to be gained through that. It's a popularity contest, nothing more.

I get the idea of why you're doing it this way, yet the photographers who are doing their job based on quality and less "HEY LOOK AT ME!"; those are disadvantaged from the get-go. That in itself, is saddening. There are more creative ways, unfortunately, you decided not to explore any of those.

It's still a lottery, and like the lottery, the person with the most tickets still doesn't always win :)

Indeed, correct. Yet, we don't have to dissect the statistical chances for a participant with one entry vs. one with more than one. :)

It's all good though. I'm just pointing out the obvious shortcomings of the "contest". In all other regards, FS does mostly a fantastic job.

If I share the contest link to get better chances to win then more people will do so and so on, so it will be less likely for me to win if I share instead of the opposite. It's simple math. I think the ones that will share the most are those with blogs or lots of people on their reach, they are the ones with the better changes with this method, the ones like me who doesn't have too much reach are better off without sharing probabilistically speaking.

But who knows wich method they use, maybe they choose themselves instead of making it just by luck, we don't know and their word couldn't be enough, if they want to make this all legal and fair they should do a livestream video or something and show the winner taken from a bowl with all the names (wich were introduced in front of the live stream showing that everyone that participated it's not been excluded, then show 10 random other tickets from the bowl to guarantee there are not the same name or something like that. Or asign a number from the lotery to every contestant, there are ways to proof legality in this kind of things, but maybe it's not their desire to prove anything to anyone, wich is fair enough (kind of).

I kind of agree. They should hold a photography contest with a set number of judges, where you could submit a letter of intent. Then the judges could decide who really deserves to win.
But at the same time, this isn't a popularity contest. More entries does not mean your chances highly improve, there will be thousands of other entries which have just as much chance of being randomly drawn.

Not necessarily true. I participated in a giveaway from red bull with 1 entry no referrals and ended up winning an iPad. Don't get so discouraged ;) YOU could win this thing :)

I'm not discouraged. I'm just a realist. ;)

More power to FS. If the marketing ploy works - awesome.

Quit crying then using "i'm a realist" to excuse the neurosis of it! Either play or don't. I never win anything and probably won't play but not gonna cry about it.

I did not play. Would be a bit hypocritical, wouldn't it? ;)

Also, it's never about winning. If I wanted any of the cameras in question, I'd work for it to buy one.

It is a GIVEAWAY! Get it? A Giveaway. Stop whinging. If you win, be happy. If you don't...move on! OMG

It's a giveaway wrapped into a contest. GET IT? ;)

Also, since it would be a bit hypocritical, I didn't play. Thus there's nothing to move on from. So, chill, relax, book a photoshoot, Mans.

Lastly, the word you're looking for is "whining" - the "winging" thing you're mentioning is... ah what the hell... OMG!

Hello...there is a world outside of your bubble.

It's not wrapped in anything. They are giving away something for free and they need to see some benefit out of this. It's marketing their website in the social media era and I'm sure works very well because this giveaway has happened a few times now. Simple.

This will be the best Birthday Gift ever :D

Mine is on 26th! :D

Thanks for the giveaway! About time a Sony is included in one of these (not just from you guys!)

Thanks for this kind of opportunities! FS is awesome just without this but doesn't hurt at all to all us fans xD
That been said, I need to say this: I'll share the contest link to get better chances to win then more people will do so and so on, so it will be less likely for me to win if I share instead of the opposite. It's simple math. I think the ones that will share the most are those with blogs or lots of people on their reach, they are the ones with the better changes with this method, the ones like me who doesn't have too much reach are better off without sharing.

Anyway, I hope I win even if it's only one opportunity in thousands (And I hope I don't get baned from the contest by stating my oppinion)
Thanks again for this opportunity!

I have been dreaming about this camera! I could really use this for my blog! Thank you for the chance. My fingers are crossed. I will come back here and lush over it until the giveaway ends. It would seriously be a dream come true to win this!

love Canon cameras...

The D610 would be a great camera to have in my bag. Good luck all.

Pleeaaaassssseeee!

Canon 6D for me :)

Which of these cameras is your favorite?? If I don't win, I am asking Santa for a camera for XMAS!
