The web is an infinite well, and it is easy to spend far more time than you need to on it. It is easy to get sucked into reading way too much about gear, obsessing about specs, worrying about the opinions of those whose opinion you should not care about, and more. And while that is not to say there are not worthwhile educational opportunities and interactions on the internet, at the end of the day, the best way to get better at photography is simply to get out there and do it. And beyond improving, it is also about enjoying the practice and experience; after all, that is why we all picked up cameras in the first place.
