Composition is one of the trickier parts of landscape photography, and it helps to have a variety of tips and ideas ready to go when you are out in the field. This helpful video tutorial will give you a wide variety of compositional ideas to improve your landscape photography.
Coming to you from Paul G Johnson, this great video tutorial features some helpful advice to improve your landscape image compositions. The thing that has always helped me when I feel stuck compositionally is to start to simplify things a bit. We tend to create compositions by adding things to the frame to balance those that are already present in it, and while that is a fine approach most of the time, it can sometimes go off the rails by overcomplicating the frame. Sometimes, it can help you reset if you work in the opposite direction by subtracting things from the frame and reducing it to only the bare essentials necessary to tell the story. Check out the video above for a lot of helpful advice from Johnson.
