I bet everyone has done a baby shoot in their life even if it is not their genre. I bet majority has faced magenta skin tone on the final pictures of the newborns. Whereas it might be suitable for extra realistic or photojournalistic photos, most often it doesn’t look that adorable on final images, where we visualize those sweeties in a better light and color tones.
There are many ways to color correct the images, but Aaron Nace, from PHLEARN, suggest a very intuitive and easy way of fixing this issue. In a step by step tutorial Aaron shows how using a reference image it is possible to quickly analyze initial photo and bring it to a tone of your desire in literally 1-2-3!
It helps to have a reference image to judge 'good' skin tone.
A reference photo is for having a good skin color in front of your eyes as a comparison. Afterwards you have to extract a large area of "average" color by making a selection and applying Average Blur in Photoshop. This procedure will mix and match all the colors within the selection and give you one average tone, that simple!
Don’t forget, you have to do this for the both pictures to be able to equalize skin tones afterwards. On this step you have to create a Hue/Saturation layer and using the color picker eyedropper, analyze the color: looking for any differences in HSL (Hue, Saturation, and Lightness).
Creating another Hue/Saturation adjustment layer and playing around the Reds channel will lead you to desired final skin tone. In this example the hue was changed by 17 degrees, saturation +2 and Value by -5.
If you have tried this technique before or working on a baby photos at the moment ,and find this useful, share your results in the comments below.
This tutorial might also be very useful if you have to work with ‘red/magenta’ tanned skin tone.

Its literally very easy task to do in Photoshop. Correcting the skin color can be done by just some adjustment in brightness/contrast. Here I would like to share a tutorial as well, hope it helps - https://www.clippingpathspecialist.com/tutorial/how-to-lighten-skin-in-p...
