Using Lightroom's New Tools for Better Color in Your Images

Lightroom's latest update brought with it numerous improvements and new features, one of the most significant being the changes to and expansion of the color editing tools. This excellent video tutorial will show you how the new and more powerful color editing features can be used to create stronger images.

Coming to you from Mark Denney, this fantastic video tutorial will show you how to take better control of the color in your images using the new editing tools in Lightroom. Lightroom's latest update did away with the split toning panel, but in its place is a much more robust color editing panel that allows you to color grade much more like you would in Photoshop, with the ability color tone the shadows, midtones, and highlights independently. The new panel also includes controls for blending and balance, along with a few other more specialized tools. As Denney demonstrates, color is by far one of the most important aspects of a complete landscape image (though that applies to any genre), as it is both a way to add your personal touch to an image and the mark of a professional. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Denney.
