Landscape photography is a vast genre with a wide range of different subjects and creative avenues you can pursue. This fantastic video shows the often overlooked and beautiful subjects you can find in the forest during the springtime.
Coming to you from Adam Gibbs, this excellent video features him heading into the woods to search out springtime subjects. I think the forest often gets a little overlooked in landscape photography. We typically think of vast spaces with epic views, and of course, the forest is less about wide spaces and more about intricate details. The thing I love about it is that beyond normal wide angle shots, you can also bring along a macro lens for shots of leaves, tree bark, and more — a veritable wealth of subjects. My personal favorite is finding a small stream and framing it weaving in and out of the trees to give the image more layers. The forest is a particularly wonderful place during the spring, when life is blooming and the colors are vivid and popping. Check out the video above for Gibb's full thoughts.
