Turtles are heavily protected in Hawaii and harassing, touching or molesting in any way constitutes a USD 10000 fine which is good for them and hard to take pictures in rough open waters
Shot with a Canon 7D Tokina 10-17mm with a nauticam housing and zen dome port
Great shout but the crop is a little weird. I would've shown a little more of the surroundings
it's barely cropped, the turtle is inches away from me in that picture... I had to hover over her to avoid contact so the camera is pointing mostly down at 14mm
