This image was shot in front of a concrete wall outside of my studio. I was getting bored with high-key white images and decided to mix things up a little and went outside with a Profoto B1 in a 47" Octa and a reflector. We had several smiley and "squinchy" images, but her expression in this one gives me pause every time I see it. I see equal parts vulnerable and standoffish, her body language is strong but her eyes seem less so to me. What do you see?
