My wife and I were out on a hike near Portland and the trail ended at the ruins of a stone house and the lighting was pretty good and I had my camera on me so we had a little shoot.

I prefer the extra space to the front of the subject. My preference would be to have her chin at the center line looking forward.
I can see that. The reason I cropped it in this way was because the section of wall in front of her looked odd and I shot this through a window. If I could go back and do this again I would like to have a bounce card to full some the shadows in her face. Thank you for your in put Pat :)
