2.57 - "Solid"

Taken at the Grand Canyon with a Nikon D7100 + Sigma 18-35. Single exposure. Post-processing done entirely in Darktable.

In order to get this ready for this contest, I had to edit it remotely via a cheap/lowres Chromebook (I am in London, my editing machine is in New York).

Love the perspective. Looks like it was taken from a drone, but apparently not. What trail did you find this on?

This was actually just taken from the Pima Point overlook (I got the overlook name from https://www.mygrandcanyonpark.com/things-to-do/top-south-rim-views-points, because I'd actually forgotten which one it was, but there's a picture in that article that seems to show the same formation).

The day this was taken, my friend and I were actually about to head back to our hotel, because it was so foggy we literally couldn't see the canyon (here's a short video showing how it was a complete whiteout: https://photos.app.goo.gl/4mijur6cWce8XTCK7).

We hopped on the bus, rode two stops and all of a sudden the clouds started opening. We ran off the bus and I caught this.
