Podere Belvedere in the wonderful place that is Val d'orcia.

During a trip across Italy with friends we went through Val d'Orcia. My other photographer friend and I realised we could try our hand at this beautiful place. So we got up early to be ready on site and this turned out to be my first ever sunrise picture. Even though we probably got conditions far from the best witnessed in this place I still got a picture I'm happy about. But most of all, standing there through the sunrise and seeing how the light slowly evolved over the lightly misty scenery was a magnificent experience.

Lovely! Between a 3 and a 4 on this one. Some (hopefully constructive) feedback: (1) There's too much sky, which could be cropped further. (2) The foreground looks underexposed (3) I personally would have cropped the foreground further -- the line of greenery along the bottom takes away from the image, I think. Otherwise, great atmosphere, awesome light, decent composition.

Thanks for the feedback Jerome! I totally agree with what you're saying. For your remark on the composition: indeed the sky is quite boring and the foreground a bit dull and distracting. Unfortunately I was at maximum zoom on my 18-55 lens (which is the only one I own for the moment) and I wanted to avoid cropping too much in post process.
