A brave pine tree fights the elements at Elbsandstone mountains in the very east of Germany. This place looks like no other in this country. I had always wanted to shoot this tree with some low fog or haze from the valley separating the tree from the peaks in the back. That very morning the rising sun provided the right conditions.

Ah yes I saw it on a youtube channel called "the Endless Adventure" where they went to East Germany. Seems to be a popular spot, you got the perfect light for that spot, amazing depth. Did you have to do some dodging/burning or was it all there already ?
Thank you Nick. I shoot raw so there’s always editing involved. And I worked out some contrasting by dodging, yes.
As always to great shot, Kai. I'm not quite sure if the rock on the right distracts me, but the scenery in general is overwhelming.
