Great shot! The foreground, reflection, and landscape are exposed perfectly, wouldn't change a thing there. This could easily be 4+ stars for me, but I'd prefer to either see normally exposed stars or much longer more dramatic star trails for the full effect. This seems caught somewhere in between for me. Just personal preference. Like I said though, outstanding work!
Thank you Josh! Yeah, I completely agree with you on that. I kicked myself afterwards for not thinking that through all the way. At the time, I thought I didn't want to go much beyond a 15min exposure, because I only wanted the first moon light on the peak. I actually took a few more shots afterwards, probably another 45min or so on the same composition. But I made the mistake of reviewing the shots inbetween, so when I went to blend the images together, the gaps between trails were too big. I might composite a different sky in at some point though.
Makes sense, happens to the best of us. Either way, beautiful shot!
