Love that snowflake on the bird's head!

Do you have a preferred lens for getting those tight sharp images of wildlife and birds?

My budget is somewhat limited. My bird photos are taken with Tamron 150-600. Seems like I'm almost always zoomed to 600 so a 500 or 600 prime would be better, maybe. I think a high shutter speed is as important as the lens with small birds. They move their heads so fast. I often use ISO 1200 or 1600 to keep shutter at 1/1000 or faster. Continuous high speed shooting helps, too.
