This environmental portrait of a handmade footwear craftsman was used as one of the banner images to promote an online startup Vhaan.com which tries to provide a global platform to traditional leather craftsmen in Indian villages.

A series of photos were taken when the founder and I were roaming around this whole village of leather craftsmen called Athani. As their work depends on a daily wage, I avoided disturbing anyone to pose. And used only available light to showcase the environment and all the craftsmen.
