The word moody automatically takes me to this scene.
After driving more than 5 hours trying to escape from the Icelandic rain, I got to this otherworldly location and started the hike when it was still drizzling.
After getting to the top of the Canyon, it stopped raining, and all of a sudden the landscape was involved in a special atmosphere like few times I've seen before. The word moody has a more special meaning since that day.

This photo mate...speechless!
I would like to see just a touch more breathing room for the mountain at the top of the frame.
I agree, I think I would have been tempted to shoot a vertical pano. Stunning location and light though.
great image -- especially since it is so nice to finally see a different kind of "Iceland-shot". Really gets me into the mood! I also like that you kept the natural look and didn´t turn it into another dreamy kind of ND-sky replacement-creamy colored orton-fantasy style image.
I agree 100%. I feel like the lighting and the landscape just speaks for itself. Who needs interesting sky when you've got such dramatic landscapes to enjoy.
