The Kamchatka Peninsula is a remote and pristine area in the Russian far east. It's the land of the giants, where you can find the highest active volcanoes in Eurasia.
This picture was taken from the top of a volcanic cone right before sunrise when a sea of clouds rolled in across the landscape creating an ephemeral but unforgettable moody feeling.

Beautiful juxtaposition between the strong crisp defined mountain and the soft flowing cloud cover - makes for such an interesting shot, how long was the exposure?
