Part of the same set as the Tetris image I'm somewhat of a 90s kid so growing up I loved photos like this that you would find in gamesmaster magazine or some gaming hardware company advert, I wanted to get the same look and feel to these images while also showing off the immersion these games created even without all the high end technology like VR etc.
This image was made by locating a large empty warehouse space which I decorated to make look external like then placing lights around to match where I wanted the space invaders to go. Taking the photo into post then I used 3d moddling software to make the sprites into a 3d object which I think positioned, rendered to transparent and blended in with photoshop
Awesome use of light, and I immediately felt nostalgic seeing those little gaming guys!
