Looking out toward the Norwegian sea from Haukland Beach in Lofoten, Norway. During a brief clearing in a 10 day storm, the skies opened just long enough to take a few shots before closing down again. This was a 1.3 second exposure at f/16, taken with a Nikon D800 and Nikkor 35mm f/1.8 lens. A graduated hard ND was used to equalise some contrast between the adjacent mountain and darker foreground. A two stop ND was added on top of that for a greater blurring effect in the foreground water.
