I probably have better, older winter shots on my external drive at home, but I wanted to upload something now. I'm at work on my laptop, and winter hasn't really hit its stride in Illinois yet. We got some snow in October, but it's mostly gone now. This is a picture of the last remnants of that first snow fall. I like the way the bits of snow stick out from the grass and lead the eye to the dead tree. The tree was what initially drew me. I circled it for a while trying to find the best angle. I went low in the grass to get the tree mostly against the sky and then moved side to side to find a path through the tall grass that wouldn't detract from the tree. I used my Z6 and 24-70mm AF-S lens for this one.
