This image is of the bark of a fallen tree. The patterns in the bark caught my eye and kept me busy as I explored the light and shadows of the tree and all of the figures I could find in the shapes. My favorite find was what I thought looked like 3 ghostly creatures.

Like the look of your photograph, like a topography. It is unfortunately a bit soft for me. Would love a greater tonal range, especially at the bottom of the picture.

One of the few actually unique shots I've seen in this set - love the fact that it looks like a topographical map - might go a bit higher on the clarity/sharpness/contrast, but not too much.
Thanks for taking time to critique. I attempted to use the Orton effect on this image. After the feed back and my own indecisiveness I am going to have to revisit the image without the softening. Thank you so much
