Within Forest Park lie several St Louis icons, one of which entails the Nathan Frank Bandstand. For this June evening, the structure and Pagoda Lake serve as an intriguing foreground for the rising Strawberry moon. Native American Algonquin tribes used this seasonal symbol as a guide for picking ripened strawberries. For this evening, several exposures of various lengths were blended in order to capture the dimmest of details while balancing some of the park’s bright areas. Canon 7D, Canon EFS 10-22m @ 10mm, ISO 100, f/3.5, bracketed exposures.
