A panorama of Sydney during Vivid (a month long event during June where the the city is illuminated with lights).
The photo is taken at a location I'm very familiar with. Using a wide angle distorts the image and doesn't get all of the city - hence resorted to stitching the image. This photo is made of several shots taken with a 50mm timed to keep the ferry streaks away. A sturdy tripod (RRS) and warm clothing (winter in the southern hemisphere) helped take the photo.
Each frame was shot multiple number of times to get the exposure and the lights (on the buildings) right. The bridge is made up of three shots and had to ensure it was the same color (the color changes) during each shot. The camera rotation between frames needed to be precise to help stitching.
