Composite portrait of my friend, shot in the living room. Hands are very powerful tools for expression, so I wanted her to have an extra hand holding her head, adding one more twist to the emotions. We lit and shot the pose first, then I asked her, to hold her chin from under, in the same direction -to match the lights- and merged the two images in PS. So all three hands are hers. The background is a painting from 1635, downloaded from the MET free collections.
