3.09 - "Solid"

"Turn me ON" Portrait of my friend shot in the living room. One flash with green gel was fired towards the ceiling to cover the background white wall and her shadow side with colour. Key light is with a 120cm softbox with a grid. Her figure gave me the idea to turn her into an android kind of doll in post. Added a face lift to see the inside of her head, separated the arms, modified the sternum line and added a button, plugged her ear - the blue light suggesting the Bluetooth connection - put an USB port on her neck, and if you look closely, you can see red light in her eyes, meaning that she is recording the view. The "Turn me ON" text on her chest is there for its purposefully double meaning. After I finished the edit came the idea to "multiply" her, giving an extra manufactured feeling to the model. Two weeks later I saw and old movie, and realized, that I just made a replica of the 1976 movie "Futureworld" poster, without knowing about it!
