After going out to the lake almost every day for a week, I finally managed to take a nice portrait of this beautiful great crested grebe.

Congratulations to the winners!
Lovely bit of detail. especially the water drops on the back of the bird.
1 - what's happening in the reflections? there are some weird vertical lines in the reflections that I would expect there to be in the water. Is that how they were straight out of the camera? or is that something due to editing?
(I don't shoot birds, or at this focal length, so.. not sure, could be normal! just seems to have some unnatural lines in there)
2- top half is noisy and grainy. Perhaps running this through something like Topaz Denoise could be interesting.
