Your Best Photo of 2022

Shot this for my portfolio. I positioned the knife on a C stand from the rear of the set for a levitating effect. For the lava I placed a clear acrylic tray with scattered pieces of foam core and lit it from beneath using a strobe with a red gel. I also used a snoot to light the knife from the side and another to bounce light on the front of the blade. I added smoke with my micro fogger. Flames and sparks added in post (I wanted to do it in camera but my workspace is not set up for that)
